Hot Feature Properties & Loglines
Since I wrote my first screenplay in 1989, over the years a library of scripts, most with festival and competition acclaim, hahad their words hit the page. Here are the scripts that feel most relevant for the current market.
A link to the loglines for all completed feature scripts, listed by genre, can be found at the bottom of this page.
Neon Cactus ~ (Drama, R)
A successful businessman uncovers a secret from his wartime past with the aid of a mysterious woman and a cactus in the sweltering Arizona desert. 97 Pg.
The first draft of this script, back in the days when scripts were delivered by mail or courier, placed in the Nicholl Fellowship. It is based upon a recollection of my service on a Navy frigate off the coast of Vietnam, and addresses healing wartime PTS via unorthodox methods. The viewership for this film, as I see it, goes beyond four-quad; it appeals to any person who ever experienced an existential crisis.
FIELD OF DREAMS meets BORN ON THE 4TH OF JULY
Full business plan available.
Bait ~ (Drama, R)
An Oahu-based marine biologist sets out to determine the cause of unusual shark behavior while her employing research institute battles for funding, and her relationship partner issues unrealistic demands. 98 Pg.
Inspired by a marine biologist appearing during Shark Week/Month, this script deals with shark’s without the hyperbole of the popcorn jump films about sharks. Anyone who has ever wanted to film in Hawaii gets a chance to do exactly that. And this script is for any person tentative about stepping into the ocean.
Diverse cast.
The Ghost's Writers' Workshop - (Drama, Ghost Story, R)
The ghost of a screenwriter murdered in a historic Arizona hotel resurrects hope for the afterlife when a group of wannabe screenwriters arrive for a writing workshop coinciding with the festive Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration. 99 Pg.
Written with the historic Gadsden Hotel in Douglas, AZ, this script combines a writer's ghost murdered in Arizona's filmmaking hey day, with a distinctive motive working through an industry writers’ workshop to heal his being caught in the netherworld. Diverse. Dramatic and playful.

Protagonist and antagonist are female, a fact that drew the attention of the late Marcia Nasatir, a juror for the San Antonio Film Festival the year the script won. The lead character was written with SITARA ATTAIE as the model for the protagonist. Diverse cast and lead character.
